My husband surprised me with a trip to Stratford for our third wedding anniversary – I was beyond delighted when I first walked into Birmingham Manor – it was an absolute dream. The history is on the walls and shown through the characteristics of every bedroom – just beautiful.Elena and Dom went out of their way to make sure our stay was special – the food was fantastic, the hospitality was perfect, and the room was a dream. Can’t wait to go back!  Nik S. Ottawa, ON

Most of all what my wife and I take away from the Birmingham Manor are our memories. Great conversations with breakfast table friends over a unique meal and ambiance. Elena and Dom are so attentive to detail with pre-meal coffee and biscotti to a three course repast, it leaves us without a need for lunch. The Birmingham seems to attract interesting people. We recall fascinating conversations not only about the theatre and plays but also folks themselves. We have raved about their food and presentations for the past three years, but the breakfast table seems to make all of us instant companions. Lastly, the suggestions from Elena and Dom for restaurant venues are spot on. We have never been disappointed. This is our first and only choice despite so many good B and B’s in Stratford. We spent seven nights at the Birmingham Manor B&B in September. On arrival we were greeted by Dom and Elena, they are the most delightful couple with an immaculate and exquisitely decorated home. The three course breakfast is amazing and is served in the most beautifully decorated dining room. Elena and Dom enthusiastically offered suggestions on seeing shows at the Theatre to places to visit in picturesque Stratford. We felt privileged to be able to have the opportunity to meet them and stay in their beautiful home. We would highly recommend a visit and we cant wait to return. Jeff and Helen South Australia.

The proprietors of Birmingham Manor B&B, Elena and Dom, set the bar for “consumate host” to new heights. These two genuine souls extend sincere warmth, personable appeal and unparalleled friendliness while offering a delicious three course breakfast in the charming confines of their impeccable, stately home. Taking in the quaint Stratford area in full Autumn colours was an added bonus. The festival theatre experience was wonderful and the ensuing discussion with fellow guests over breakfast was extremely pleasant. Needless to say, we have absolutely no hesitation recommending Birmingham Manor.

This was our third stay at Birmingham Manor. Elena and Dom continue to delight and pamper the guests with gracious hospitality, beautifully furnished rooms, and gourmet meals. The bathrooms have been remodeled since our last stay and include sleek, modern glass and stone showers. The breakfasts consist of 3 courses and are outstanding. Elena deftly handles dietary requests with no comprising on the excellent food. The location is ideal- less than 5 minutes driving time to any of the theaters. A high standard is set for this B&B that few can hope to duplicate. TaxiMike, Columbus, Ohio

We have stayed in many B&Bs in Stratford. Our first visit to Birmingham Manor showed us why it is so highly rated on Trip Advisor. Our room was perfect–comfortable bed and chairs, beautiful bathroom with shower, plenty of space and great attention to detail. Breakfasts were amazing and unique–beautiful fruit plates, creative egg preparations, and a sweet course as a finale (with an offer to take it with you if you were already full). The home itself is very early 20th century with beautiful woodwork throughout. Could there be more? Absolutely. The best reasons to stay here are the two hosts–Elena and Dom, who are always gracious and helpful, always interesting to chat with, always interested in discussing the plays we had just seen. We hope they have space for us next season!  AusNZtraveller, Kingston, On

“Why a Bed and Breakfast?” my friends asked when I explained that we’d be staying in Stratford for three nights. “Because I want to converse with someone who can advise us as to the best possible way to spend what little time we have in Stratford,” I explained. And Dom and Elena turned out to be both excellent advisers, as well as warm and welcoming hosts. Our breakfasts were carefully planned (to accommodate allergies) and were absolutely delicious every morning! Birmingham Manor has both the charm of yesteryear, as well as the convenience and cleanliness needed today. Our room had everything from a sleigh bed and antique dolls to a brand new bathroom replete with glassed-in shower. Coffee, tea, and baking were always at the ready in the parlour, a fridge upstairs cooled a ready supply of water, pop, and juice, and a wonderfully unique “phone booth” stood waiting in the entrance to offer complimentary private calls to family or friends. My husband and I came to Stratford for a convention, but Elena and Dom (and their wonderful home) made us feel like we had enjoyed a very special vacation. If the opportunity ever presents itself, we will definitely be back!

We stayed at Birmingham Manor for five nights on a recent visit to Stratford for a cultural feast, including this summer’s theatre festival and two Loreena McKennitt concerts. What more appropriate place to stay than this charming and well appointed B&B, which is located just 15 minutes’ easy walk from Stratford’s thriving town centre.  After having established an obvious rapport during initial enquiries and booking, Elena and Dom made us feel really at home as soon as we arrived at their beautifully restored historic home – for example we soon found ourselves out on the verandah enjoying afternoon tea with our hosts after our drive up from Toronto.  We enjoyed the ‘Sandringham’ room for our stay, which is every bit as comfortable as it looks on the website for the B&B. Plenty of space, clothes storage, comfortable bed and convenient en suite, while a range of complementary cold drinks is to be found a short distance away along the hall.We were treated to varied and innovative breakfasts each morning, while nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who helped us and other guests with plenty of local knowledge and with last minute festival bookings and recommendnations. On our final morning when we had to leave early to catch a flight, they even invited us to join them in their kitchen as they were starting their preparations for making breakfast other guests, so we would not head off unfed. We hope to visit Stratford again in future and would certainly stay here again and renew our acquaintance with Elena and Dom – they seem eminently suited to the hospitality business.

“My friend and I chose this B&B for our Stratford stay based on the reviews of other guests. We were delighted to find that everything was as wonderful as the reviews had stated or better! Elena and Dom are excellent hosts and the rooms were lovely and well appointed. Breakfast was a treat indeed. I would definitely stay there again and will absolutely recommend it to my friends and family who plan to visit Stratford. ”          -LMJans Lion’s Head, Canada

“I made a reservation at the Brimingham Manor based on other reviews from Tripadvisor. My husband and I were not disappointed. The Manor surpassed expectations. Elena and Dom were gracious and welcoming, and served some of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. We loved our room, reading on the gigantic wrap-around porch, and perusing the gardens. The weather was perfect, and the theaters are all a nice 15-minute walk away from the B&B. We will definitely be back again!”   Nicole B Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States

“Elena and Dom’s hospitality and their breathtaking home made our first trek to Stratford one of those memorable occasions that spark a new tradition. From the moment we walked through the door, we were awestruck by the exquisite detailing of their vintage manor house, yet were made to feel right at home! Delightful and engaging hosts; beautifully appointed rooms; charming English gardens; a location within walking distance to all the amenities of Stratford are just a few of the many features this B&B boasts. The gourmet breakfast was the icing on the cake – a culinary experience that was on par with some of the best meals we have ever had! This is truly an outstanding establishment and we too, will be back!”   Karen G  Port Perry, Ontario

“Our friends and ourselves occupied two rooms (of the four total) at this lovely, inviting B&B. From the second we entered their establishment, Elena and Dom warmly greeted us and made us feel completely at home within minutes. For us, this is very important because it is what distinguishes a B&B from a hotel. The rooms were spotless and well appointed. Every detail, from chocolates on the pillows to complementary beverages in the hall fridge, was carefully attended to. Breakfast was elegantly served and the table conversation among the eight guests was both stimulating and pleasant. Birmingham Manor is located close to the downtown and theater district, about a leisurely ten minute walk. This will definitely be our “go to” B&B when we return to Stratford.”  – Mike Karwow Grosse Pointe MI
